Reports

Everything the farm already sees on screen can be taken out of the app: every reports page has an Export button with three formats — PDF to print or send over WhatsApp, Excel to keep working the numbers, and CSV to open in any spreadsheet. The PDF and the Excel carry the farm identity — name, SENASA CUE, tax ID, location and contact details, plus the period consulted and who generated it — and the PDF also the logo and color; the CSV carries only the title, the period and the tables, meant for another program to read. And a new page, Reports, gathers every report in the system in one place so nobody has to remember which module each one lives in. The file carries the same queries, the same filters and the same permissions as the page: it can carry more detail than the screen shows — today, the per-feed detail in Nutrition → Reports — but never data the page could not load.

Terms

Reports hub
The Reports page in the dashboard: one card per report in the system, grouped by area (Milk, Cheesemaking, Sales, Nutrition, Finance and Inventory). Each card leads to the report's own page, which is where the Export button lives — the hub never exports anything itself. Only the cards for reports the role can read are shown; a role with access to none sees a message instead of the cards.Where it appears: Dashboard → Reports
Exporting a report
Downloading the report on screen as a file, in one of three formats. PDF: a branded document, ready to print or share, with the charts included as an image and "Page n of N" numbering. Excel: a workbook with a Summary sheet and one sheet per table, with the header row frozen, filters, and number, currency, percent and date formats already applied. CSV: plain text separated by semicolons, which Excel opens in columns with no extra steps. The file is named after the farm, the report and the period — for example mi-finca_finca-san-luis_milk-production_2026-08-01_2026-08-31.pdf — and everything is built in the browser, without sending the data anywhere.Where it appears: Every reports page → Export button

  • PDF: farm branding, charts as an image, "Page n of N"; the page turns landscape when a table has 8 columns or more, and tables over 2,000 rows are cut with a note pointing at the Excel file
  • Excel: a Summary sheet with the farm identity, one sheet per table with a frozen header and filters, and the indicators on their own two-column sheet
  • CSV: semicolon-separated and with an encoding mark, so accents and columns come out right in Excel
Report header
The identification the PDF and the Excel carry: farm name, legal name, SENASA CUE, tax ID, location or address, phone and email — only the fields that are filled in, never an empty line — plus the report title and the period with the filters applied. In the PDF it sits on every page with the logo on the left and a rule in the farm color underneath, and the line "Generated by <person> · <date and time>" (in the farm time zone) goes in the footer of every page; in Excel it is the Summary sheet. The CSV carries no farm header: only the title and the period in its first lines.Where it appears: Farm settings → General and Branding (that is where the data comes from)

Flows

Export a report

  1. Open the report page

From the module's menu or from the Reports page, tapping the card for the report you want

  2. Set the filters

Date range, grouping and any other filter on the page: the file comes out with whatever is left on screen

  3. Press Export

The three buttons sit together; they stay off until the farm's own data has loaded

  4. Pick PDF, Excel or CSV

The chosen button reads "Generating…" and the other two switch off meanwhile — one file at a time

  5. Open the downloaded file

A toast confirms the file name; if something fails it says so and nothing is downloaded half-finished

Frequently asked questions

Why are the Export buttons switched off?

Because the farm's own data — name, CUE, tax ID, color and logo — has not finished loading, and a file without that identification is no use to send to anyone. It takes seconds: as soon as it loads, the three buttons switch on by themselves. If they stay off, reload the page.

Why are there empty cells in the file?

Because the report carries exactly what the system knows, without filling gaps. When a value cannot be computed — a cost whose consumed item has no purchase price registered — the cell comes out empty instead of a zero that would be a lie; on screen that same value shows as "—". The fix is registering the price of that purchase in Inventory, and the next file already carries it.

Where do the logo and the color in the reports come from?

From Farm settings → Branding: the logo uploaded there is the one that appears in the PDF header, and the farm color is the color of the title rule and of the table headers. The rest of the header — legal name, CUE, tax ID, location, phone and email — comes from the General tab of that same screen. A farm with no logo and no color exports just the same: the PDF comes out in the app default color and without a logo.
