Reproductive management for the dairy herd
An open cow or an overdue calving costs milk that never comes back. Mi Finca follows each female’s cycle — service, pregnancy check, dry-off and calving — and tells you which cows to check, which to dry off and which are about to calve, with time to act.
The reproductive cycle and lactation are tracked separately, just as they are in the barn: a pregnant cow keeps milking until you dry her off. The same records give the indicators any dairy advisor uses: conception rate, calving interval and days open, for the herd and for each cow.

Frequently asked questions
Are semen straws deducted automatically?
Yes. Each insemination consumes one straw from the chosen bull’s inventory; if the service is annulled, the straw comes back.
What if I record a calving with the wrong date?
Edit the date and Mi Finca replays the cow’s history to leave her status correct; if the change breaks the sequence, it warns you.
Does it work for goats and sheep?
Yes; gestation and cycle days change per species.
Does it tell me when to dry off a cow?
Yes. From the expected calving date Mi Finca computes the dry-off, about 60 days earlier, and shows it in the calendar and in the home alerts with its urgency.
Can I register the calf when I record the calving?
Yes. When you record the calving you can add the calf to the herd, linked to its mother, with its own record from day one.
